Mindless rambling

Along with the DMSA I’m taking a multivitamin + Multi minerals to add back all the minerals I get ripped off by the DMSA. Today, after drinking an ounce of them, I felt warmth all over my body, and my face got rushed with blood, felt funny but was good.

Went to the beach late at night with Tyler, had a great time there jumping around and playing with the dogs, cooked Potato Gratin with oven roasted tomatoes, I had to rush em both cause Jon was going back to forecast, there was some presidential candidate going to make a speech in the same building and there was going to be plenty of people there.

I told Tyler that if they ever feel like I’m intrusive or I’m bothering too much he should feel free to ask me to move out or something like that. He replied that a few days ago he was talking with Jon and both agreed they would like me to stay with them forever and that I was a nice addition to the family. That was very sweet of him. Although I’m not planning on staying here for a long term. I want to have my own place soon.

I’ve been thinking about doing a long trip, driving cross country across the USA. I mean, I got a car, I should use it, roads in the states are pretty easy to drive thru and would be an incredible adventure. Been thinking about going from the east coast to the west coast and then crossing the border to Mexico thru Tijuana, ending in puerto Vallarta or something like that.

went to the dentist today, arrived on time.. he was a cool guy.. he was honest.. i think I’m on the right track this time. I have an appointment to remove the shitty mercury next Monday. The whole appointment went great. We talked about DMPS, DMSA, EDTA and cilantro, and he agreed that would be a very good idea to follow the DMSA + Cilantro path. I’m very excited about this and expect things to improve in the short term.

Another significant European development about mercury amalgams was reported when Degussa AG, the largest producer of dental amalgams in Germany announced it would no longer provide such amalgams because of pending and future lawsuits. This was based on a Federal Court ruling that dentists who use such amalgams face legal liability.

Some Other Facts About Mercury
1. Mercury is the most toxic non-radioactive element on earth.
2. A silver colored mercury amalgam filling normally contains 52% mercury.
3. On average, amalgam filling weighs 1 gram and contains 1/2 gram of mercury.
4. The typical adult carries ten amalgam fillings containing about 5 grams of mercury.
5. 1/2 gram of mercury in a ten acre lake would warrant issuance of a fish advisory for the lake.
6. Running shoes with mercury lights in their heels were banned by the Minnesota Legislature in 1994 because they contained a 1/2 gram of mercury in them and this was considered dangerous to public health.
7. The use of mercury amalgams has been banned and are on a scheduled phaseout in Germany, Austria, Denmark and Sweden.
8. A proposition passed in California in 1994 requires a warning in dental offices using mercury amalgam stating that “the people of the state of California have determined that the use of mercury in dental amalgam causes birth defects and other health problems.” The proposition also requires that permission must be obtained from a patient before placing hazardous material in the mouth. (The new law is being contested by the ADA and California Dental Association, and is tied up in Federal Court).
9. Legislation is now being proposed in Minnesota for a similar “Informed Consent” legislation for all dental patients.

… amalgam (3 different types) placed in synthetic saliva in front of computer screens for 6 hours, corroded and released mercury.

… studies recording the improvement or disappearance of long standing symptoms in 70-80% of cases after amalgam removal. After the removal of amalgams there is commonly an acute occurrence or aggravation of symptoms hours or days after. There is a similar set of circumstances occurring during the chelated removal of mercury from the body. Headache, dizziness, depression, muscles and joint pains, tachycardia, diarrhea, and chills are reported. Occasionally, the patient is acutely confused and disoriented. Most symptoms are cured or significantly reduced when removal occurs.

Mercury is both the most toxic of all non-radioactive metals

Mercury is both the most toxic of all non-radioactive metals as well as the most ubiquitous in people. Virtually everyone is guaranteed daily exposure to this toxic metal due to the practice of putting this metal in dental fillings. Some 22 million tons of mercury are put into fillings in America every year. To put the toxicity of mercury in perspective, if a single silver (mercury) filling was removed from a client’s mouth and put in a ten-acre lake, the EPA would have to order a fish advisory for the lake. Fishing, swimming, bathing, boating in that lake would all be off limits.

Mercury Poisoning

“…The primary symptoms of mercury-poisoning are vague psychic ones. Short-time memory deteriorates. You will find it difficult to concentrate on tasks which require attention and thinking. It is easier to execute tasks that are well known rather than to learn something new. You avoid social contacts which demand that you get out of your introvert behavior. You loose your temper easily and switch between different moods for no particular reason. Little by little, a more physical kind of exhaustion is added to the condition. More and more effort is required to initiate activities and sometimes break things due to inability to co-ordinate your movements with your visual impressions (ataxia). Occasional headaches, minor involuntary muscle spasms or ticks within groups of muscles can also appear. Hands and feet become easily cold, attacks of dizziness or vertigo can occur, and periodically you may find it difficult to focus your eyes and to see clearly. Joint and muscle pains, stiffness, lumbago and similar symptoms often appear at an early stage. They can be caused or increased by low availability of the trace element selenium. Nervous heart, sometimes accompanied by a week pulse, sometimes by a hard pulse, creates a feeling of anxiety. You don’t sleep well, you wake up stiff and never feel thoroughly rested. As a whole you need more sleep than before, and you are constantly tired. Some individuals develop pronounced intestinal and stomach disturbances. Bloating is common and diarrhea can alternate with constipation. From 50 to 200 micrograms mercury from amalgam daily passes the gastrointestinal tract. There is usually irritation where mercury first interacts with tissues. The upper respiratory tract easily becomes chronically inflamed and symptoms in mouth appear. The gums bleed when you brush your teeth, red and white irritations (lichen, leukoplakia) araise, blisters and sensitivity to certain nutritives develop, ypur teeth ache, the whole jaw can become more or less inflamed, and some persons develop sinusitis. Metal taste in your mouth is a direct sign of metal-poisoning (mercury, copper). The more poisoned you are, the more serious and chronic your problems become. The piruitary gland will be affected which often leads to frequent urination. When the thyroid gland is affected secondary effects on metabolism can appear. Both glands accumulate mercury. neurological symptoms such as numbness, hypersensitivity and paralysis exacerbate. It is often hard to determine if the cause is in the nervous or circulatory systems…”

Art Basel

Yesterday was Art Basel, an art festival done in Miami. Jon had a bunch of people coming into the showroom so I helped him out with the food and drinks. Was a nice night and at least I did something productive. There was a lot of people around.
