Wow !

One quick update to tell that yesterday I had dinner with most of the managers of the hotel. We went to this restaurant and the chef was the apprentice of the father of Chen Kinichi. You would ask.. and who the hell is Chen Kenichi, well he’s the Chinese Iron chef. !! Wow.. I was sooooooo excited .. and the meal was good too.. *giggles*

I’ll be off a few days, seems that the hotel that I work for wants to buy some other hotel north of Tokyo and they want me and a co-worker go and check out the competition. So I’m going to travel, all inclusive to go and stay in hotels and dine there and check em out.

Hope there are cute guys around.

Orgasmic

Yesterday I had the most wonderful dinner. I went to this Japanese restaurant. The menu was all pictures so it was easy to choose what I wanted, and actually I don’t know the names of what I ordered but everything was orgasmic. I mean it .. was wonderful. Ate sashimi 「刺身」, nigirizushi 「握り鮨」 and makizushi 「巻き鮨」, but also some cold noodles, and seeweed. For dessert I had this amazing bowl of azuki beans 「小豆」 with ocha 「お茶」 icecream and some little balls of mochi 「餅」. I had an asahi beer and of course a couple cups of ocha. Amazing.

[19:52] -> Pizzaman <-: stupid ? why ? [19:52] [scak] --> wishful thinking: cause I was going to use someone in order to fullfil my childish dreams.

[19:52] -> Pizzaman <-: yup.. and of course it didn't worked.. [19:52] -> Pizzaman <-: i couldvé told you that [19:52] [scak] --> wishful thinking: live and learn my dear friend

It’s weird, althought I’ve never really had a stable anythin

It’s weird, althought I’ve never really had a stable anything. I crave so much for having a stable something. Long term goes so fast, and short term goes away before realizing it’s there. Nowhere to go to, noone to call, noone to call for help.

Everything is new, no karmas from the past, a new life to be built. Flawless victory.

My weekend was nice. Interesting. On saturday worked on pastries again. After that went to some computer stores to check memory prices, and ended up going after that to Saito-san’s home. I had a nice dinner there and drank a couple of beers. It’s a nice feeling to be in a family even though it’s not my own. Has never been my own.

On sunday I was supposed to wake up at 7 am to go and help in a watermelon festival in Tomisato Town, but I was too tired, I ended up waking up at noon. I grabbed my bicycle and went to Narita, it’s around a 45 min drive by bicycle. So I ended up being there for the whole day riding the city on my bicycle. I was riding the damn thing for like 9 hours. so when I finally came home I was dead tired, today my legs still hurt.

While in Narita I visited several things, including ate a hamburger at a local McDonalds 「マクドナルド」 pronounced makudonarudo. Also I visited Narita San, it’s a huge park in the middle of the city with a LOT of pa·go·da ( P ) Pronunciation Key (p-gd)
n.

A religious building of the Far East, especially a multistory Buddhist tower, erected as a memorial or shrine.
A stupa.
A structure, such as a garden pavilion, built in imitation of a multistory Buddhist tower. Check it out Naritasan also went to a lot of computer stores .. and fell in love with some puters.. like the Sony VAIO PCG-U101 and the Sony PCG-TR1. They are soooo cute !.

成田

Soo.. yesterday I was feeling crappy with a tummy ache and a sore throat. Even that, after work, I went by bicycle 「自転車」(jitensha) to Narita 「成田」. I went to an electronics store, plenty of things to see and play with there. It was fun, althought I couldn’t find any mp3 players. mm.. maybe the store was not big enough. It’s fun to see how different the taste in design is when it comes to western culture and eastern. Here they like funny noises and and blinking colors a lot.

Last saturday after working at Pastries in the hotel I was i

Last saturday after working at Pastries in the hotel I was invited to Saito-san’s home, he’s a REALLY kewl guy who has become my best friend in the hotel so far, well besides the GM who have treated me really well and very friendly, he’s young and very nice, and seems he knows how to handle the interpersonal relationships really well, to keep respect and to offer friendliness at the same time.

So after pastry work I walked to the cake shop and bought a cake for Saito-san as a thank you gift for inviting me to his home. While walking something weird happened, but I wrote about that already on my previous post.

So After buying the cake and coming back to the hotel, I meet Saito-san in the employees parking lot. He was waiting for me already, it was 6pm.

I hopped into the car and said hello, and the first thing i see is this LCD screen on the dashboard, I’ve seen some of those around a lot, and I’ve been wondering what are they for. Well I asked saito and he told me it was the car 「ナビ」 nabi or navigation, he turned it on and i was amazed, GPS navigation with very kewl graphics kinda in 3D, very nicely done, seems they have very good mapping of the roads in Japan.

So he drove to his home, but on the way he picked up one of his coworkers, I don’t remmeber her name, but was a nice lady. We got to his home, it was set up on top of a small hill, we were greeted by his wife. We came in and of course removed our shoes.

Well, they have to beautiful kids, very well behaved and seemed very happy. We had dinner, first Raw bonito [katsuo] (鰹) fish marinated in soy/vinegar sauce with some fresh herbs on top long white stem and green leaves. Also we had tube shaped fish cake paste [chikuwa] (竹輪)with cuccumber (sounds weird but it’s yummy). And also had rolled pork filled with cheese, has very western feel.

We drank asahi beer and Shochu
——————————————————————————–

Shochu is a traditional Japanese distilled spirit, the Japanese aqua vitae. There are two types, Ko and Otsu.

The standard type shochu, Otsu, is made from mainly rice, sweet potatoes, rye, corn, or raw sugar, and is distilled in pot stills. The main ingredient in In Ko-type shochu is molasses.

Both types use malted rice for fermentation, and depending on the brand and where it is produced, the alcohol content varies from 40 to 90 proof (20 to 45 percent ABV), although the average is around 50 proof (25% ABV). (not to be confused with Shoyu which is soy sauce).

I ended up playing Playstation 2 with one of his kids and talking with his daughter and wife for a long time. I had a VERY good time.

When it was time to leave he dropped me at a train stop, where we met with some of their friends, I thought they were driving to the dorms, but I was wrong, they were driving to a bar, to drink MORE beer, and eat some other stuff that I don’t remember the name. The bar had tatami mats all over and the rice paper sliding doors, it was a very nice experience, and I had fun.
